Mar 11, 2010
The third annual Angelo Tinebra Memorial Hockey for Heart tournament is coming up May 1.
The fundraiser presented by the Heart and Stroke Foundation is in need of teams to play in the event, which will be held at the Mohawk 4 Ice Centre.
At age five, Alfonso Tinebra's father, Angelo, died from a heart attack. Alfonso started to cope with the loss of his father through his love for hockey and became inspired to get involved with the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
At the end of the tournament, the top 15 fundraisers of the tournament are teamed up to play against the ProStar team, made up of NHL Almuni, including Wendel Clark, and local celebrities.
Men’s, women’s and co-ed teams are being sought. For details see hockeyforheart.com or contact Jacklynn Tregunno at 905-574-4105 or jtregunno@hsf.on.ca
