The Saltfleet Go-Ahead Soccer Club hosted its yearly Micro Championship day celebration last Saturday. Trophies, timbits (donated by Tim Horton's Canada) and water (donated by Nestle Waters, Canada) were distributed to all players. Convenors, Maria DiLoreto, Frank Ragona, George Sarnelli and Nadia Tornifoglia along with all 24 teams and their coaches were on hand to distribute awards to 291 children at Sherwood Park.

On Sunday July 20, the U11 Girls Saltfleet Pumas participated at the Hamilton Lady Avalanche team game. The U11 girls had the honour of accompanying the professional soccer players on to the pitch for the opening ceremonies and had the responsibility of chasing the out of bound balls in order to keep the game momentum. The Saltfleet Pumas play in the SRSL Girls division Rep league, they were excited and enjoyed the experience to be part of the professional ladies soccer team. A thanks to the Hamilton Lady Avalanche and Saltfleet Soccer clubs for making this a great day for the U11 girls. Saltfleet Soccer Club is a proud supporter of the Hamilton Lady Avalanche.
