The Stoney Creek Chamber of Commerce is holding its Salute to Business Trade Show, Thursday, Oct. 18, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Chandelier Place.
The event will include draws and refreshments and give business owners and residents a chance to learn what local businesses have to offer.
Dave Cage, executive director of the chamber, says about 35 businesses will have displays, as well as government services to help business owners with aspects like payroll deductions and workers' safety issues.
Audie McCarthy is president of The Marrek Group, which provides training, coaching and consulting for managers and employees. She looks forward to the event.
"I am participating in the trade show for two reasons. First, because, as a member of the Stoney Creek Chamber of Commerce, I believe it is important to support the good work the chamber does," she said. "Second, because it offers a great opportunity to showcase my business, not only to the visitors who walk through the event but also to the other exhibitors. It is an important part of my marketing strategy.
"I am looking to continue to grow my business and the trade show will help me make new contacts and continue to build relationships with previous clients and partners. I look forward to being there."
Chandelier Place is at 660 Barton St. The Salute to Business Trade Show is open to the public with free admission and parking.
