Well it looks like winter has broken and spring has finally sprung. Hopefully we have seen the last of the white stuff and are ready to enjoy the great colours that spring brings forward.
The Friends of the Eramosa Karst (FOTEK) will be having a fundraising dinner Friday, April 11 at Michelangelo Banquet Centre at 7 p.m.
You can e-mail them at directors@friendsoferamosakarst.org or visit their Web site at www.friendsoferamosakarst.org to get more information.
FOTEK will also be holding a Keep Hamilton Clean event the week of April 21. Stay tuned for additional information or feel free to call my office at (905) 546-2703 to get more details.
If your group or organization would also like to participate in a Pitch-In week event, call or e-mail me the details and I'll help get it advertised.
Also, the Hamilton Council on Aging has started an initiative, Seniors Helping Seniors to Access Financial Entitlements and has organized an income tax and financial benefits walk-in clinic at the Dominic Agostino Riverdale Community Centre at 150 Violet Dr. on Saturday, April 12, from noon until 4 p.m. Bus tickets are available.
