The donation was in response to a request the hospice made to the Arcelor- Mittal Dofasco corporate donations committee earlier this year.
“We are thrilled with this investment in our hospice and appreciate the generous support of all tonight’s supporters, including Arcelor- Mittal Dofasco,” said Beth Ellis, executive director of the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. “This support means so much to so many people who are facing a need for end-of-life care.”
“ArcelorMittal Dofasco is committed to making a positive impact in our community as our strength as a company depends on it,” said Juergen G. Schachler, the company's president and CEO. “Helping the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice in Hamilton is extremely gratifying especially since it will have a direct impact on the lives of countless families.”
“Our hospice is committee to the vision of our founder, Dr. Bob Kemp, and his efforts for advancing compassionate end-of-life care for all,” said Mark Cripps, chair of the hospice board of directors. “Tonight's contribution will greatly benefit the quality of care for our patients and their families, and allow us to continue to make a difference in providing respectful end-of-life care.”
