Heugh will be missed
Letters
Mar 04, 2010
Iread of the death of Jack Heugh, who wrote a column for the Stoney Creek News called Listen to This.
It was fun waiting for the paper to find out all the happenings in the Creek.
Jack and his wife Shirley would be in attendance at every event. Jack also got involved with most events that happened in our town, such as Flag Day, bed races, Royal Canadian Legion activities, the Santa Claus parade. Jack and Shirley hosted the first Heart and Stroke Foundation dinner and dance.
When promoting an event, you knew just to call Jack.
Jack was always a familiar face in Stoney Creek and a loyal friend to many.
When Jack and Shirley retired, they bought a place in Florida and spent many happy years there. Now they are both gone, leaving us with many happy memories.
