
Woman spots two drunk drivers within minutes in Cambridge; both arrested

CAMBRIDGE — An alert motorist is being credited with two arrests that led to impaired driving charges this weekend.
The woman first called police after seeing a car speeding along Elgin Street North, near Franklin Boulevard, just after midnight Saturday. The driver was travelling without headlights and had hit several curbs.
Police pulled the car over and a 24-year-old Cambridge man was charged with impaired and dangerous driving.
The same woman called police again a few moments later when she noticed another car going through a red light on Franklin Boulevard at Clyde Road. The car had a flat tire.
Police again arrived and arrested a 23-year-old Cambridge woman and charged her with impaired operation of a vehicle.
