The Hamilton Conservation Authority unveiled a donor recognition pavilion last Friday at Eramosa Karst Conservation Area.
The pavilion commemorates the names of donors to HCA’s 50th anniversary projects, the Eramosa Karst and East Mountain Trail Loop (EMTL) and also the individuals, foundations, companies and governments, who have supported HCA over the past 50 years.
The event also marked the beginning of work on HCA’s 3.1-kilometre section of the 10-kilometre East Mountain Trail Loop, which assembles 85 hectares of land, creating a trail linking 155 hectares of public open space.
It will connect the Eramosa Karst Conservation Area to other HCA and City of Hamilton open space, parkland and waterfalls on the Niagara Escarpment, including Felker’s Falls, Albion Falls, the Red Hill Valley and Chippawa trails, Valley Park and Mount Albion Conservation Area.
