
Summer arts camp features drummer and dancer

Stewart Memorial Church and the Hamilton Black History Committee are hosting a summer camp for children ages seven-13. The unique summer program is designed to help campers develop social interaction and leadership skills in a fun and creative way. The summer camp experience includes African drumming/dance, art and craft, storytelling, field trips and special events.
The camp features master drummer and dancer Jean Assamoa of Akwaba Cultural Exchange.
The camp will be held July 6 to August 21, 9 a. m. to 5 p. m. each day at Stewart Memorial Church Hall, 114 John Street North. For more information call 289-396-3085 or email jchollandprogram@cogeco.net
