I am a resident of McNeilly Road and I am also very angry about the Horizon/city water usage charges that the city wants to impose on us for the past two years.
We were Fruitland first, became absorbed by Winona and the only thing we lost was our Fruitland Post Office. We had nothing here but farm land. No one in the city knew we existed.
Now we get this letter from Horizon on behalf of the city wanting to charge us for services we do not have and charge us back for two years. This is another big laugh. We do not have complete sewer services out here. We have sanitary sewers, ditches, creeks and sump pumps in our houses
I don't mind paying my fair share, but out here, 50 per cent would be more reasonable.
I am not asking for much, I am asking for fairness. Don't expect us to pay for services we do not have.
