Re: I've had enough of crybaby Khadr, July 18
I object most strongly to Mark Cripps statement "Omar Khadr is used by a pawn by those who hate the United States and who obviously have no concern for the lives of Canadian soldiers." While this may be Mr. Cripps opinion, it is completely unfounded, more than a little ignorant and very insulting.
Many who support bringing Omar Khadr home do not hate the U.S. and do care deeply about the lives of our Canadian soldiers. Many have close friends and relatives in the Canadian military.
For those of us who have travelled extensively or lived overseas for periods of time there is great concern about how we may be treated if we should need assistance from our government. To think that an arrogant prime minister, and one who seems to want to fill the role of trained poodle to George Bush, will make a judgement about who will or will not be give the support of our country, is completely unacceptable.
For those who value and understand the importance of human rights, the abrogation of any citizen's Canadian or international rights is an abomination.
