This year's Winona Peach Pageant will be held on July 10 at Liuna Gardens.
The pageant offers young women, ages of 16 to 19, with an opportunity to develop their confidence, as well as highlight their intelligence and personality.
In addition, the 'Queen' is an ambassador who travels to various community events and media outlets promoting tourism and goodwill.

Peach festival
This year's Winona Peach Festival will run Friday, Aug. 22 to Sunday, Aug. 24 at Winona Park. Admission is free.
Come out and enjoy the food, games, rides, craft booths and of course, the yummy peach sundaes.

JADE HORSBURGH
MISS ATHLETES WITHOUT BORDERS
Jade is a Grade 12 student at Orchard Park Secondary School. She is involved in Orchard Park is Making a Difference, which deals with environmental issues. Jade also tutors children with learning disabilities. She is employed at McDonald's and The Children's Place. Jade plans to attend Niagara College for hotel and restaurant management.
KAYLEY PETTIT
MISS BATTLEFIELD OPTIMIST CLUB
Kayley is a Grade 11 student at Orchard Park Secondary School. She is involved in the junior and senior school bands, playing the drums, percussion and piano. Kayley is an avid dancer and volunteers with charity events. She works at Rythum Plus Dance Studio teaching acro. She plans to attain a dance degree so she can teach children with disabilities.
LISA BIFANO
MISS DR. BOB KEMP HOSPICE
Lisa is a Grade 11 student at Cardinal Newman Secondary School. She is involved in student council, peer mentoring, yearbook committee, field hockey and managing two sports teams. Lisa volunteers at the Good Shepherd Centre as a soccer coach and at the Dante Alighieri Italian classes.
In September, she plans to run for council president.
OLIVIA GIANOTTI
MISS SALTFLEET FIGURE SKATING CLUB
Olivia is a Grade 11 student at Cardinal Newman Secondary School. She is a member of the girl's indoor and outdoor soccer teams, the hockey and cross country teams. Olivia is also a part of the school creative club and a volunteer figure skating coach. Olivia hopes to play soccer at the university level and become a teacher.
LAURA CASIMIRRI
MISS IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY
Laura is a Grade 11 student at Cardinal Newman Secondary School. She has received a Director's Award for academic excellence. Laura volunteers as a figure skating coach and a soccer coach. She tutors and has been a co-op student at the John Sopinka Court House. Laura plans to attend York University to pursue a career as a lawyer and judge.
KELSEY BOYER
MISS KINETTE CLUB OF HAMILTON-STONEY CREEK
Kelsey is a Grade 11 student at Orchard Park Secondary School. She has many athletic interests, including running and playing hockey on the school team and outside of school. Kelsey would like to attain a university degree and pursue a career as an event planner. She would also like to become more involved with fundraising for cancer research.

MISS KINSMEN CLUB OF STONEY CREEK
Amber is a Grade 11 student at Orchard Park Secondary School. Amber is on many school and community sports teams, including tennis, volleyball, basketball and track and field. She volunteers as an assistant soccer coach at Dofasco and as a volleyball referee at Winona Public School. She also helps at church functions and in the nursery.

MISS KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
Alissia is a Grade 11 student at Cardinal Newman Secondary School. She is a peer mentor, a member of the yearbook committee, the social justice committee and the athletic club. Alissia volunteers at the Good Shepherd Centre, the Italian Heritage Program, Brewster Pool and as a coach. She plans to become an elementary school teacher.

Kaitlynn is a Grade 12 student at Orchard Park Secondary School. She received the Sarah Geng Memorial Award and was a peer mentor. She has also been involved in organizing fundraisers and is a member of Staff and Students Helping Orchard Park Students.
She will attend Humber College for fashion arts.
ASIA LYNN MASTROIANNI
MISS STONEY CREEK MINOR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
Asia Lynn is a Grade 12 student at Cathedral Secondary School in French Immersion. She has been a member and captain of the girl's soccer team, the girl's volleyball team and the co-ed volleyball team. Asia Lynn volunteers as a volleyball coach, referee, timekeeper and program leader for children. She would like to become a French teacher.
ALYSSA WILLIAMSON
MISS WINONA MENS CLUB
Alyssa is a Grade 11 student at Orchard Park Secondary School. She is involved with the girl's varsity soccer team and organizes activities for the Girls Get Fit Program. Alyssa plays soccer and takes dance classes.
Alyssa plans to attend Ryerson University in the fashion design program and would like to pursue a career as a fashion designer and own a design house.
APRIL BUORDOLONE
MISS OPTIMIST CLUB OF STONEY CREEK
April is a Grade 12 student at Cardinal Newman Secondary School. She is on student council as publicity coordinator, director and anchor of the weekly morning announcements. She volunteers with the United Way, Jacob's Blanket and as a soccer coach.
She hopes to attain a degree in journalism to become a broadcast reporter.
TAYLER DOYLE
MISS STONEY CREEK GIRLS HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
Tayler is a Grade 11 student at Saltfleet District High School where she obtained the OECTA award. She participates in athletic and motivational clubs, including field hockey, hockey and SWATI (Saltfleet's War Against Tobacco Industries).
She hopes to obtain a degree in aviation to become a pilot.
