The Saltfleet U10 girls Stars looked for continued success at last month's Ancaster Heritage Days Soccer tournament.
The Stars captured it two years ago and were finalists last year.
They defeated the Mount Hamilton Avalanche 5-0 for this year's championship.
The team also finished first in this winter's U11 indoor soccer league. Since April, the team has 23 goals and none against during league play. The girls were also finalists in the West Niagara and BMO tournaments.
In the Ancaster tournament, Saltfleet defeated the North Toronto Nitro 4-0 and the Kitchener Blizzard 3-0. Next, they faced the La Salle Stompers, also with two wins, to see who would advance. Saltfleet claimed the win 5-0.
Against Brantford in the semifinal, Saltfleet won 4-1 for entry into the championship for the 16th time in the girls' history.
