New Hamburg's figure eight guru Peter Becker was unable to compete at the June 21 and 22 Billy Bash in Paris, but he did loan his car to another local driver.
Missing the race for his mother's birthday, he let George Carter take the car around the course. Carter took the car to a second-place finish.
"We had 32 drivers show up, it was some pretty good races," Becker told the Independent.
Brad Cronkwright, from Paris, won the feature.
Carter was leading the race for awhile, before he got caught in "lap traffic syndrome," as Becker called it.
"We're happy with the results."
Becker will be racing next on July 27 at the Fergus Truck Show.
