Go cruisin' Friday nights this summer at the Battlefield Park.
Elvis tribute artist grand champion and cofounder of the Collingwood Elvis Festival, Frankie Greco will be there with cruisin' fans, as well as many of the era's coolest classic cars, hot rods and customs.
Run by Stoney Creek Battlefield Cruisers Car Club, the event raises funds for the East Hamilton Optimist Club and Battlefield House Historical Society.
Fridays from 6 p.m. to dusk throughout June, July, August and September will be live shows and barbecue from M&M Meats and '50s lifestyle food, pop and products from Mr. Frostee Freeze.
Prizes will be awarded each week for the best theme of the 1950s, such as hula hoop, bobbysoxer, best greaser and '50s pin up girl.
The event is sponsored by Queenston Chevrolet Corvette and The Stoney Creek Battlefield Cruisers. A donation at the gate gets you a door prize ticket. There will also be raffles and 50/50 draws.
