Stoney Creek realtor Mike Cusano was acclaimed provincial director of the Ontario Real Estate Association, the association announced at its annual conference.
He will represent the Southern Ontario area consisting of the Brantford, Cambridge, Guelph and district, Hamilton-Burlington, Kitchener Waterloo, Niagara and Simcoe and district real estate boards on the OREA board of directors.
Active in the real estate profession for 17 years, Mr. Cusano is a sales representative with RE/MAX Del Mar Realty Inc., Brokerage. He is a member and past-president of the REALTOR Association of Hamilton-Burlington where he served as chair of the executive, finance and bylaw committees and as a member of the communication and discipline committees and Web page task force.
Most recently, Mr. Cusano served OREA as a member of the education committee.
The Ontario Real Estate Association represents 45,000 brokers and salespeople who are members of the 43 real estate boards throughout the province. Members of the association may use the REALTOR trademark, which identifies them as real estate professionals who subscribe to a high standard of ethics and service.
OREA serves REALTORS through a wide variety of professional publications, educational programs, government lobbying and other services. A division of the association, the OREA Real Estate College, provides all real estate registration education courses in Ontario.
