Eastgate Square received the Business Achievement Award in the Large Business category at the Chamber of Commerce 2007 Outstanding Business Achievement Awards March 26 at Michelangelo's Banquet Centre.
"We were up against tough competition, so this is a very exciting and honourable achievement for Eastgate. It is also a fantastic way to help celebrate Eastgate Square's 35-year anniversary. What a birthday present," said Katie Simpson, marketing director at Eastgate Square.
Rick Saker, Eastgate Square's general manager, said, "The award criteria was based on Eastgate's commitment to customer service; marketing achievements; support given to the community, including non-profit groups and development that took place throughout 2007, including both leasing (new tenants) and construction.
"Throughout the year, we had tremendous help from staff, tenants, customers and the community. We could not have won without their support."
