Paralympian Chelsea Gotell, a student at McMaster who set the world record in the 200 metre backstroke, holds the 1988 Calgary Olympic torch with Mayor Fred Eisenberger during the announcement that Hamilton is one of the cities on the 106-day Olympic torch relay leading up to the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver.

The money went towards the purchase of a bubble tube, a solar projector and a crash mat, among other items.
