The U9 Saltfleet boys Strikers won the Erie Admirals Flagship Cup June 7-8 in Erie, PA. In the 90-degree heat, they went undefeated in five games. The Royal Canadian Legion, Battlefield Branch 622, Ladies Auxiliary celebrate their 71st anniversary with a donation to the Stoney Creek Community Food Bank. Presenting a cheque to Wilf and Susan Rogers, volunteers at the food bank are president Carmel Gray and 50-year member, Eileen Davis.
The Battlefield Optimist Club presented a $500 cheque to the Stoney Creek Community Food Bank from money raised at its food booth last month, during the re-enactment of the Battle of Stoney Creek weekend. The club would like to thank the community for its support.
