The U9 Saltfleet boys Strikers won the Erie Admirals Flagship Cup June 7-8 in Erie, PA. In the 90-degree heat, they went undefeated in five games. Team members are, Ryan Pericak, Marco Caiella, Jessie Munarolo, Dylan Daigneault, Alexander Niblock, Nicolas Bernoldi, Matthew Reale, Jacob Patten, Noah Bollert, Mario McLennon, Brevin Clarke, Reilly Webb,Zachary Elesie and Brandon Scanlin along with coaches Steve Pericak, Brian Bollert and Remo Reale.

The Royal Canadian Legion, Battlefield Branch 622, Ladies Auxiliary celebrate their 71st anniversary with a donation to the Stoney Creek Community Food Bank. Presenting a cheque to Wilf and Susan Rogers, volunteers at the food bank are president Carmel Gray and 50-year member, Eileen Davis.

The Battlefield Optimist Club presented a $500 cheque to the Stoney Creek Community Food Bank from money raised at its food booth last month, during the re-enactment of the Battle of Stoney Creek weekend. The club would like to thank the community for its support.
